All districts of mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning on Tuesday due to the forecast of rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) reported this Monday, October 27th.

The districts of Faro, Évora, Setúbal and Beja will be under yellow warning this Monday due to the forecast of showerssometimes strong and accompanied by thunderstorms between 12:00 and 21:00.

On Tuesday between 12:00 and 21:00, the 18 districts of the continent will also be under yellow warning due to rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms.

Also due to the heavy and persistent rain, and the possibility of thunderstorms, the south coast and mountainous regions of the island of Madeira will be under yellow warning until 12:00 this Monday.

The IPMA also issued a yellow warning of strong winds with gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour for the south coast of Madeira and up to 100 kilometers per hour for mountainous regions between 09:00 and 18:00 on Tuesday.

For the central group of the Azores (S. Jorge, Faial, Pico, Terceira and Graciosa), the IPMA issued a yellow warning until 09:00 this Monday also due to forecasts of rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms.

The eastern group (São Miguel and Santa Maria) is under yellow warning due to heavy rain until 00:00 on Tuesday.

The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
