The president of the United States, Donald Trump, proposed this Tuesday that the Department of Defense, which his Administration wants to rename the Department of War, should convert “dangerous cities” like Chicago and Los Angeles in “training camps” for the military and the National Guard.
In an unprecedented meeting called by Hegseth of 800 generals, admirals and commanders of the country’s three armies at a base in Quantico (Virginia), the Republican has urged the military to combat the “internal enemy” prometiendoles “resurrect the warrior spirit” of the armed forces.
Before his military leadership, Trump has launched a speech lasting more than an hour with a marked political and warmongering character, combining in his message his crumble against immigrants with the combats progressive activists and the Democratic opposition.
During his speech he mentioned, as usual, the “cities governed by radical left democrats”, specifically mentioning San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
“We are going to fix them one by one and some of the people in this room are going to play a prominent role in this. It is a war from within,” he warned.
In this sense, he recalled that last month he signed an executive order to “provide training to a quick reaction force that helps quell civil unrest.”
“We must deal with the internal enemy before it gets out of control. It won’t get out of control once you guys get involved.”he proclaimed. “The supposed “invasion from within is no different from a foreign enemy, but it is more difficult because they do not wear uniforms,” he added.
“If they spit, we hit”
Before the protests in the streets of the country against his policies, the Republican has opted for the security forces to adopt a new doctrine based on “If they spit, we hit.”
In line with this, he said that in some protests he has seen in the media how some protesters spit and threw bricks at the officers. “If military or police vehicles are hit by bricks or other objects, officers should do whatever they want.”
“We will not be politically correct when it comes to defending US freedomand we will be a machine to fight and win,” he proclaimed.
On the other hand, the president promised that “the warrior spirit” of the armed forces will be resurrected of the United States that “won and built this nation.”
“Together, in the years to come, We are going to transform our armed forces into something stronger“Stronger, faster,” Trump assured the military leadership.
Before starting his war speech, Trump launched a joke to those present in the form of a threat: “If you don’t like what I say, you can leave the room, but you can say goodbye to your rank, you can say goodbye to your future.”
Hegseth charge against him ‘woke’
Before Trump spoke, his Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who held a rally against the “Basura woke up” which he accused of causing the “decline” of the Army for decades with its diversity and integration policies and initiatives.
Hegseth criticized the appearance of the overweight troops: “It is completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon.” “The era of unprofessional appearance is over. No more bearded men,” proclaimed the Pentagon chief.
“Foolish and reckless political leaders took a wrong turn and we lost our way. We became the ‘Progressive Department’. But not anymore,” he added.
The Secretary of Defense has charged against the gender or racial diversity programs or against the system that had allowed denouncing “toxic leadership” in the ranks, or hazing.
“We clear the debris, we eliminate distractions, we clear the way for leaders to be leaders. We end the war against the warriors,” he promised.
He has vowed to undertake sweeping reforms to the way discrimination complaints are handled and how allegations of wrongdoing at the Pentagon are investigated. “The current system makes senior managers walk on eggshells,” he said.
