The FBI foiled a bomb attempt against multiple targets, including immigration agents and vehicles, in Los Angeles and Orange County, Attorney General Pam Bondi said on her X account on Monday.

“The Department of Justice, in collaboration with our FBI, prevented what would have been a massive and horrific terrorist plot in the Central District of California (Orange County and Los Angeles),” Bondi explained.

He specified that it was the Turtle Island Liberation Front, a far-left, pro-Palestinian, anti-government and anti-capitalist group, which was preparing to carry out a series of bomb attacks against multiple targets in California starting on New Year’s Eve.

The group also planned to attack ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents and vehicles, Bondi stated.

Four people have been charged with conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The plan to bomb was to place explosive devices in five locations with the goal of attacking two American companies at midnight on New Year’s Eve in the Los Angeles area, he said.
