The armed wing of Hamas, the Al Qasam Brigades, have announced that they will deliver los mortal remains of two Israeli hostages to the Red Cross this Wednesday at 10 pm local time, at 9 pm in Spain.
So far the Palestinian terrorist group has delivered the bodies of seven of the 28 hostages that remain in its hands, and an eighth that Israel assures does not correspond to any of its nationals, after a forensic identification process.
Hamas handed over four bodies believed to be hostages in Gaza to the Red Cross on Tuesday night. However, The Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine in Yafa determined that Three of them corresponded to captives, but not the fourth who was Palestinian.
The Palestinian terrorist group defends that that body belongs to a captured Israeli soldier in the offensive undertaken by the Netanyahu Government in Gaza after 7-O.
The Israeli Army, for its part, defends that “no soldier has been kidnapped since October 7.”
A Hamas source assured Al Jazera that the corpse corresponds to a soldier captured by the Al Qasam Brigades in Jabalia in May 2024. Then, the group released a video obtaining an unidentified body in a tunnel in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media at the time identified the man as Khalil Dawas, a Palestinian from the Aqabat Jabr camp, in the West Bank, and collaborator of the Israeli Army.
Public broadcaster Kan reported, without citing any sources, that the man whose body was returned “operated alongside security forces in searches for underground tunnels” and was “killed by Hamas terrorists a year and a half ago.”
