Brussels airport, forced to close its activity after the sighting of three drones in the vicinity

The Brussels-Zaventem airport closed completely this Tuesday due to the presence of three drones in the vicinity of the terminal shortly before eight in the afternoon, local time, according to local newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

Some of the planes that were heading to the main airport in Brussels and the devices that were supposed to land in the Belgian capital are being diverted to other Belgian towns such as Liege, Charleroi or Bruges and also to foreign airfields such as Paris or Frankfurt, as can be seen on the specialized website Flight Radar.

Other devices remain in the air in a waiting circuit, while from the Zaventem terminal they told that newspaper that they are “investigating the matter” and that at the moment there are no flights that land or take off from Brussels-Zaventem.
