Belarusian Vera Kravtsova, 26, traveled to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, in September to fulfill her dream of becoming a model, but was kidnapped to be a sex slave and, later, ended up being murdered so that her organs could be sold on the black market.

According to the British newspaper Daily MailVera lived a few days of genuine terror before dying, as as soon as she arrived at Bangkok airport she was kidnapped and taken by a group of criminals to Myanmar, the neighboring country. There she was forced to work as a sex slave in a call center, where her mission was to extort money from customers.

These criminal organizations, usually made up of Chinese gangs and Burmese militias, operate along the border between the two countries in fake security companies. call centerwhere victims are kidnapped and subjected to torture and extortion, with an estimated 100,000 victims of these crimes.

According to the local newspaper Mash, as she was beautiful, Vera Kravtsova aimed to “extort money from rich clients”, and “when she stopped making money” she was killed.

A few weeks later, the young woman’s family was informed that Vera was dead, and the kidnappers demanded 500 thousand dollars (around 428 thousand euros) so that they could recover her body. However, later, they were informed by unknown people that she had been cremated and that her organs had been sold on the black market.
