The Public Ministry (MP) charged the Machico firefighter captured in August by a video surveillance camera with two crimes of aggravated domestic violence attacking his wife in front of her nine-year-old son, according to the report. JN.
According to the accusation made public this Wednesday, October 22nd, the defendant went in the early hours of August 24th to a house in Água de Pena, where the victims were living, and violently attacked the woman in the presence of her son, who not only repeatedly asked his father to stop but also put himself in front of his mother to protect her.
The indictment states that the defendant and his wife had been married since 2010, but had lived separately since the beginning of August this year. A month before the separation, one of the arguments between the couple ended with the defendant attacking his wife by hitting her in the face with a cell phone.
The defendant is currently subject to the coercive measure of the obligation to remain in the home with electronic surveillance.
