Embraer’s profits until September fell 66%, year-on-year, to 535.9 million reais (86.85 million euros), the Brazilian manufacturer announced this Tuesday, 4th.

In the first nine months, the company’s revenue grew 27% compared to the same period last year to 27,542 million reais (4,464 million euros).

In turn, the costs of products sold and services provided increased by 26.5%, to 22,573 million reais (3,658 million euros).

During the first nine months, Embraer delivered 153 aircraft in the executive aviation (102), commercial (46) and defense and security (five) segments, compared to 131 in the same period last year.

The defense and security segment includes the delivery of a KC-390 Millennium to the Portuguese Air Force, during the third quarter of this year.

The order book was, at the end of September, 31,300 million dollars (27,180 million euros), compared to 22,700 million dollars (19,720 million euros) a year earlier.

Earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 2.6% to 3,288 million reais (2,855 million euros).

For the rest of the year, Embraer reiterated its projections, with deliveries of between 77 and 85 aircraft in commercial aviation and between 145 and 155 in executive aviation, with consolidated revenue expected between 7,000 and 7,500 million dollars (6,080 and 6,514 million euros).

Embraer is a manufacturer and world leader of commercial aircraft with up to 150 seats, has more than 100 customers around the world and maintains industrial units, offices, service and parts distribution centers, among other activities, in the American continent, Africa, Asia and Europe.

In Portugal, it is the majority shareholder of OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, in Alverca, with 65% of the capital.
