The APCVD recalls that failure to comply with the additional sanction of banning access to sports venues constitutes a “crime of qualified disobedience, punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years”, leading to the arrest of the offender by the police authorities.

Among the sanctions recently applied, the APCVD highlights an 18-year-old resident of Guarda, punished with 20 months of interdiction and a thousand euros fine for “possession and deflagration of pyrotechnic articles” in the FC Porto–Benfica game, on the 28th round of the League, at Estádio do Dragão.

Another guy, 34 years old, from Ermesinde, was punished with 1,750 euros and 18 months of ban for “racist insults to a player” at Leixões B–Ermesinde 1936.

According to data from the National Sports Information Point (PNID), around 450 people are currently prevented from accessing sports venues, of which around 370 are due to a decision by the APCVD, while the rest are due to the determination of the judicial courts.
