DRONE footage released by the US military shows what it claims are sick Hamas terrorists hijacking a truck filled with humanitarian aid for the Palestinians.
The footage, shot by an MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drone, shows suspected Hamas brutes appearing to push out the driver of the truck before looting it in southern Gaza.
They moved the driver towards a road divider, where he was seen lying on the ground as the suspected Hamas terrorists drove the truck away.
It was published by the US Central Command, which has recently set up a multinational headquarters in Israel.
MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drones ahve been deployed to monitor the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as part of the US-brokered deal.
Centcom said in a statement that its new Civil-Military Coordination Centre “observed suspected Hamas operatives looting an aid truck travelling as part of a humanitarian convoy delivering needed assistance from international partners to Gazans in northern Khan Younis”.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said: “Hamas continues to deprive the people of Gaza of the humanitarian aid they desperately need.
This theft undermines international efforts in support of President Trump’s 20-point plan to deliver critical assistance to innocent civilians.
“Hamas is the impediment. They must lay down their arms and stop their looting so that Gaza can have a brighter future.”
Hamas issued a statement denying any involvement.
It is not the first time Hamas terrorists have been accused of looting aid meant for starving Palestinians.
Footage released by the Israeli military earlier this year appeared to show gun-toting Hamas brutes looting an aid truck in Gaza.
Israel has long argued that Gaza’s hunger problems in the first half of the summer were primarily caused by Hamas’s widespread looting of the aid supply.
The UN and other humanitarian organisations denied the reports, accusing Tel Aviv of creating famine-like conditions inside the strip.
It comes as Hamas has reportedly demanded a safe passage for almost 200 of its fighters who remain underground inside terror tunnels in Rafah.
The Israeli military is currently operating in the region – outside of the Yellow line – in accordance with the ceasefire deal.
The Yellow Line is the line in Gaza that IDF troops have withdrawn to.
Speaking through mediators, the radical terror group demanded that its fighters be offered a safe way to move inside the yellow line, the Jerusalem Post reported.
This indicated that the IDF is aware that there are still terrorists in tunnels in certain parts of Gaza, which would be a violation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
This comes after a Palestinian terrorist crossed the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip and threatened IDF troops in the area, the military stated on Sunday.
The Israel Air Force struck and killed the terrorist after the incursion, the IDF added.
Ceasefire violations
Last week, Israel bombed Gaza with overnight strikes after accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire.
The IDF confirmed it launched “immediate and powerful” strikes across Gaza City and Khan Younis after troops came under fire from terror operatives in Rafah.
Explosions and tank fire were heard in multiple areas as Israel said Hamas had “crossed a red line”.
The strikes reportedly killed 31 people.
Hamas, in return, accused Israel of committing ceasefire violations.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the retaliation late Tuesday, accusing Hamas of “deception and treachery” after the terror group faked the recovery of a hostage’s body and refused to hand over others as required under the ceasefire.
Tel Aviv said the remains returned by the terror are not new remains but fragments from a hostage already buried nearly two years ago.
The remains were identified as belonging to Ofir Tzarfati, who was kidnapped from the Nova music festival during Hamas’s October 7, 2023 massacre.
A Hamas official told Al Jazeera the body had been found in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighbourhood and handed over to the Red Cross around 9pm.
However, Israeli troops operating in the area disputed the account, saying they saw militants stage the recovery by placing the body in a freshly dug hole before contacting the Red Cross as if they had just located it.
Tzarfati was killed in captivity, and his body was first recovered by Israeli forces in November 2023.
His family received additional remains in March 2024.
