A MAJOR murder hunt is underway a boy’s severed head with a “dismembered jaw” was discovered in Moscow.
The grim discovery was made inside a purple backpack tossed into Golyanovsky Pond in the city.


The tragic schoolboy – so far unidentified – was thought to be aged between seven and ten.
Initial reports suggest the child was strangled and then beheaded with a jigsaw, according to sources citing law enforcement.
His death is believed to have been around two days ago.
A huge search of the lake involving divers failed to discover any further human remains.
The backpack was inside a red coloured plastic bag when it was thrown into the lack, said reports citing police.
The gruesome discovery was made early today by workers at the pond, eight miles northwest of the Kremlin.
They immediately alerted police.
Security cameras are being checked for evidence.
Police want to talk to a possible suspect around 5ft 11 tall, of a medium build.
He was seen two days ago throwing a bag into the pond.
