“BIG John” Fisher has been detained in Australia and is being deported after a visa row — forcing him to cancel a string of events across the country.
The Brit social media star, famous for his viral fast food reviews and catchphrase “bosh”, landed in Western Australia on Tuesday ahead of a nationwide tour.
But instead of greeting fans, the 52-year-old spent his birthday in a detention hotel in Perth.
He wrote on his Instagram stories: “It’s my birthday and I’m in Perth in a detention hotel waiting to be deported.
“Been treated like a criminal by Perth Border control even though they said I entered Australia legally.
“Still not got my wallet or possessions back and I can’t leave my room.

“But you know what I’m still smiling I still love Australia but can’t wait to see my family. Bosh.”
Fisher said he was questioned by border officials for four hours.
While his visa was “legit”, he claimed authorities “weren’t happy” he planned to work during his visit.
It is understood he entered the country on the wrong visa.
“Will explain more when I get home but absolutely gutted,” he added.
“Sorry, Perth, sorry, Sydney.”
The Australian Border Force said it could not comment on individual cases “due to privacy issues,” the BBC reported.
Fisher’s planned appearances included a “Bucking Bull” challenge at a greyhound race in Sydney and a DJ set at a Perth horse racing meet.
With nearly 700,000 Instagram followers and half a million on TikTok, he has built a cult following reviewing Chinese takeaways and ending his videos with his trademark “bosh.”
Despite his detention, the influencer kept his humour.
He thanked fans who offered to bring him food – but urged them to “please take to a food bank – Bosh” since he couldn’t receive deliveries.
His son, British heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher, confirmed his father was being sent home — joking that “rumour has it they are frightened of his express pace bowling ahead of the Ashes.”
