Harry’s devastated Cornish family said he had become brain dead after the severe reaction.

Doctors tried all they could to keep the Brit alive but he tragically passed alongside his loved ones who had travelled out to Buenos Aires.

A representative of the Kitto family wrote on GoFundMe: “Harry was 24 years old — kind, adventurous, funny, and full of life.

“He had been travelling through South America and was just days away from returning home when tragedy struck.

“We are now facing the painful task no family should ever face: bringing him home.”

The family have managed to raise over £54,000 to help with the repatriation process so far from 1,400 donations.

“Harry fought so hard, and we have never been prouder of him. He was brave, strong, and full of love until the very end,” his loved ones said.

Harry’s family were in contact with the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation during the “nightmare” seven days.

They have pledged to give any leftover donations to the charity as a thank you.
