ANGELINA Jolie’s bodyguard has revealed that he started military training before going to fight in the Ukraine war.
This comes after Dmytro Pyschchikov, 33, was taken from Jolie’s motorcade close to the frontline in Ukraine and taken to an enlistment office.
His claims that he was escorting an “important” visitor were ignored by officials.
Pyschchikov insisted that he benefitted from a medical exemption due to a spinal condition.
However, this does not appear to be case as he admitted that he has been conscripted.
Unconfirmed reports state that Jolie even called President Volodymyr Zelensky personally to try and secure his release.

“The plan is to complete training and serve in the army,” he announced.
This followed Pyschchikov being held at the army’s Territorial Recruitment Centre (TRC) where he could not be contacted.
In a video after his release, he told followers that “nothing terrible happened.”
“Friends, don’t panic,” he said.
“Everything is fine.
“I didn’t run way or hide from anyone.”
Ukraine has been forced to recruit all the men it can to defend the country in the war with Russia.
Pyschchikov said earlier that his exemption had not been taken seriously.
“When I asked why I was being detained, the police officer couldn’t answer me,” he said.
“My documents are in order.
“I had a recent medical examination certificate and was not wanted by the police.
“I had recently arrived from the Donetsk region and had no problems.
“For some reason, I was detained at this checkpoint without explanation and asked to go with them to clarify some details.
“It turns out it was a deception.”
A statement from Ukrainian ground forces later confirmed the episode had taken place in Mykoliav.
“The citizen, as a driver, was part of the group that accompanied the foreign actress Angelina Jolie,” said officials.
“At the time of clarifying all circumstances, this group was nearby.
“When all circumstances were clarified, the famous actress continued on her planned route.
“Neither she nor her representatives influenced the work of military personnel and civil servants of the TRC and the Recruitment Centre, as some posts on the Internet try to suggest.”
The Hollywood A-lister was visiting Ukraine with the Legacy of War Foundation.
This is a British based charity founded by photographer and triple amputee Giles Duley, 54.
“The people of Mykolaiv and Kherson live with danger every day, but they refuse to give in,” she said.
“At time when governments around the world are turning their backs on the protection of civilians, their strength, and their support for each other is humbling.
“After nearly four years of conflict, exhaustion is visible, yet so too is determination.
“Families want safety, peace, and the chance to rebuild their lives.”

The 7th Border Detachment presented her with a set of national symbols and the emblem of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as a “token of gratitude.”
This comes days after a Ukrainian journalist working for The Sun was press-ganged at a checkpoint.
