CHILLING new details have emerged about disgraced financier Howard Rubin’s penthouse – including what accusers call his “sex dungeon”.
It is said to be where authorities claim the former Wall Street hotshot brutalized women — a place allegedly lined with Playboy memorabilia and a chilling “trophy wall” of his supposed victims.
The high-end condo was located inside the Metropolitan Tower Condominium on West 57th Street, and rented for around $18,000 a month.
And four of Rubin’s accusers told The New York Post that the multi-millionaire’s luxury apartment doubled as a torture chamber where he “turned into a monster.”
“He gets gratification — sexual and otherwise — from cruelty,” one unnamed woman told the American outlet.
“It isn’t only physical torture; he keeps using his money, power and the legal system to control and hurt people.”

The gleaming tower with sweeping Central Park views allegedly hid a far darker scene inside.
Accusers told the Post that Rubin’s apartment was covered wall-to-wall with framed photos of Playboy models — what appeared to be a “victim wall.”
One anonymous woman claimed: “All over in the condo when you walk in, the walls are covered with images of models from Playboy.
“Some of them I looked up to when I was just starting my career.
“[Rubin said] all of the images were girls he had ‘seen,’ who had been there before. It’s like those were his trophies.”
Pictures and videos obtained by the New York Post reportedly show the penthouse filled with the glossy images, sex toys, and BDSM gear.
Court documents say Rubin used the apartment “purely for sexual purposes,” maintaining his family home nearby.
Federal prosecutors say one bedroom in the West 57th Street apartment was painted red, soundproofed, and dubbed “The Dungeon.”
Inside, investigators claim, there was a cross and a bed with built-in restraints — and a shocking device allegedly used to electrocute women during sex acts.
Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella said in a statement that Rubin and his assistant “used Rubin’s wealth to mislead and recruit women to engage in commercial sex acts, where Rubin then tortured women beyond their consent, causing lasting physical and/or psychological pain.”
Prosecutors allege Rubin’s victims — including Playboy models Mia Lytell and Amy Moore, as well as dancer Stephanie Caldwell and model Emma Hopper — were restrained, gagged, and beaten inside the penthouse between 2009 and 2019.
Many, they said, were vulnerable or desperate for money and were allegedly drugged with alcohol or Valium before the assaults, The New York Post reported, citing court docs.
Even when some agreed on “safe words,” Rubin allegedly ignored their pleas, continuing to attack them until they passed out, prosecutors alleged.
The alleged scheme
Federal prosecutors accuse Rubin — once a high-flying trader for Solomon Brothers and George Soros’ fund — of running a $1 million sex-trafficking ring with his assistant Jennifer Powers between 2009 and 2019.
Powers allegedly lured women, including Playboy models, to the penthouse for paid photo shoots.
But once they arrived, the women claim Rubin demanded they sign nondisclosure agreements carrying $500,000 penalties — then “turned evil.”
One accuser said: “Hurting women is just something that he wanted to do and loved.”
Prosecutors claim Rubin restrained victims, tied them to an X-shaped “St. Andrew’s cross,” electrocuted them with a cattle prod, and beat them until they lost consciousness in what he called “the red room.”
Some accusers claim they were drugged, gagged, and left bloodied.
Rubin, now in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking.
Powers, who relocated to Texas, is free on an $850,000 bond and has also pleaded not guilty.
In court filings, the feds described text messages between Rubin and Powers where he allegedly bragged about electrocuting women’s genitals and joked, “I don’t care if she screams,” adding a laughing emoji.
Prosecutors also allege Rubin kept a stash of nondisclosure agreements in a safe, forcing women to sign them before any encounters.
Payments were sent through PayPal or Venmo — typically around $5,000, but sometimes less if Rubin was “unsatisfied.”
‘Evil mastermind’
The women who spoke to The New York Post said Rubin “profiled” them over fancy Manhattan dinners before taking them back to his penthouse.
They describe him as an “evil mastermind” who still terrifies them from behind bars.
“I just want to feel safe again and know that everyone responsible is held accountable,” said one woman.
Another added: “I rarely leave home, and when I do I’m anxious because I never truly feel safe.”
Prosecutors say Rubin even sought a hitman to target women who had previously sued him — part of why a judge has twice denied him bail.
Rubin, now in his mid-60s, made his fortune in the 1980s and ’90s as a trader featured in Liar’s Poker and The Big Short.
But allegations of sexual violence first surfaced in 2017, when multiple Florida women sued him for rape and assault in New York. He denied the claims.
At the time, court papers described a lavish Manhattan penthouse dungeon filled with ropes, chains, and sex toys — and an alleged incident where Rubin beat a woman so savagely “her right implant flipped.”
Attorney Jeremy Saland said then: “While arrogance and self-import may convince certain men otherwise, neither money nor power gives any person the right to victimise a woman.”
In that civil case, six women — including Lytell, Moore, Caldwell, and Hopper — eventually won hundreds of thousands of dollars each after a Brooklyn jury found Rubin civilly liable in 2022.
The court ordered him to pay roughly $4.8 million in legal fees, which he has appealed.
Prosecutors now estimate he spent at least $1 million on the alleged trafficking operation.
Even after Rubin’s 2021 divorce, his ex-wife Mary Henry, 74, wrote to the court portraying him as a “family man” and urging the judge to release him on a $50 million bail package.
That letter, accusers say, “tipped them over the edge.”
“She [wrote] about him taking grandchildren to swim lessons while the women he brutalized are still living in fear,” one said.
“It’s cruel and I can’t understand how anyone could defend that.”
Rubin’s alleged victims say the trauma continues — even with their abuser behind bars. “The isolation and fear have taken my peace and most of my trust in people and in the legal system,” one woman told The Post.
As one survivor said: “Since our case first came to light in 2017 we have lived in the shadow of a man who believed his wealth, power, and connections made him untouchable. The system didn’t stop him. It allowed him to keep going.”

Rubin remains in federal custody, facing a long list of sex-trafficking and assault charges.
His attorney did not respond to The New York Post’s requests for comment.
